Abstract
Self-confidence uses an individual's positive attitude towards themselves which is reflected and belief in their abilities and self-worth. Meanwhile, Body Image refers to an individual's perception, attitude, and evaluation of their physical shape and appearance. Social media, especially Instagram, has a big influence on how teenagers view their bodies, so it has the potential to affect self-confidence. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between body image and self-confidence in female adolescents using Instagram social media. The subjects in the study were 105 female adolescents aged 18-21 years who used Instagram. The sampling technique was a purpose sampling technique with a quantitative research design. This hypothesis test uses the product moment correlation test and gets a value of -0.225 with a significance of 0.221 (p>0.05) it is proven that there is no correlation between body image (X) and self-confidence (Y). This means that the hypothesis that states that there is a relationship between body image and self-confidence in late adolescent girls who use Instagram social media is accepted.
