Abstract

The tendency of employee corruption is influenced by several factors both internal and external. One of these internal factors is personality and the focus examined in this study is Dark Triad Personality. While one of the external factors studied is the organizational culture that exists within the company. This research was conducted on employees of PT. SGI in the East Java area. The number of subjects in this study was 222 people. All subjects have worked at PT. SGI is at least 1 year starting from the operator / administrator level to the manager with an age range from 22-55 years. The results of regression analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between dark triad of organizational personality and culture and employee corruption tendency (F = 60,132; p = 0,000; R = 0,595). Organizational culture has a significant negative relationship with employee corruption trends (p = 0,000) but dark triad personality has not a significant relationship with employee corruption tendency (p = 0.055). The proportion of variance from the tendency of corruption which is explained jointly by the dark triad of personality and organizational culture is 35.4% while the other 64.6% is influenced by other variables outside of this study. The practical implication of this research is that there is an effort that must be made by company management to always create a positive organizational culture, to reduce the tendency of corruption among employees who work in the company.
