Abstract

This research is entitled "Analysis of Moral Messages in the film Please Be Quiet". The purpose of this study is to analyze the moral message of the film "Please Be Quiet". The theory used to analyze this research is Mass Communication Theory, and Semiotic Analysis by Roland Barthes which consists of detonation meaning, connotation, and myth. The method used in this research is a qualitative method using descriptive. The research subject was the film Please Be Quiet with a duration of 20 minutes consisting of 22 scenes and 6 scenes as the object being analyzed. The results of this study found that the film Please Be Quiet has many scenes that contain moral messages. Some of the moral messages that are divided through the sub-themes of the scene that the researcher chose contain the first, the behavior of a boss who does not have good morals because he sexually harasses an employee. This shows that a person who has a high position has a dull conscience and of the many cases of harassment There is also a weak moral element in Indonesia. Second, teaching women's courage to reject harassment against them shows that a courageous behavior from women, this can be interpreted by the existence of gender equality in these women.
