Abstract

Mahasiswa Pendidikan Profesi Psikolog menghadapi tuntutan akademik yang berat dan praktik lapangan yang kompleks, sehingga mereka rentan mengalami stress akademik. Stres akademik yang tidak dikelola dapat berdampak pada penurunan performa akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara regulasi emosi dan optimisme dengan stres akademik pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Profesi Psikolog di Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 217 mahasiswa Pendidikan Profesi Psikolog di Jawa Timur yang dipilih menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah skala regulasi emosi, skala optimisme, dan skala stres akadmeik. Hasil analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda. Secara simultan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan sangat signifikan antara regulasi emosi dan optimisme terhadap stres akademik. Secara parsial, regulasi emosi memiliki hubungan negatif yang sangat signifikan dengan stres akademik dengan sumbangan efektif 32,14%. Optimisme memiliki hubungan negatif yang sangat signifikan dengan stres akademik dengan sumbangan efektif sebesar 30,13%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa regulasi emosi dan optimisme berperan dalam menurunkan kecenderungan stres akademik pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Profesi Psikolog di Jawa Timur. Penelitian ini diharapkan memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan pemahaman mengenai pentingnya regulasi emosi dan optimisme dalam mengurangi stres akademik pada mahasiswa Pendidikan Profesi Psikolog di Jawa Timur.
