Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara parenting stress dengan kecemasan pada orang tua remaja down syndrome terkait masalah perilaku seksual. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara parenting stress dengan kecemasan pada orang tua remaja down syndrome terkait masalah perilaku seksual. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Penelitian ini melibatkan 72 responden yang dipilih menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji hipotesis menggunakan analisis korelasi Spearman’s Rho, diperoleh nilai koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,603 dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 yang artinya terdapat hubungan positif dan signifikan antara parenting stress dengan kecemasan pada orang tua remaja down syndrome terkait masalah perilaku seksual. Artinya, semakin tinggi tingkat parenting stress yang dialami orang tua, maka semakin tinggi tingkat kecemasan yang dirasakan. Sebaliknya, semakin rendah tingkat parenting stress, maka semakin rendah pula tingkat kecemasan orang tua.
