Abstract
This research aims to design and implement an automatic gate security system based on the Internet of Things (IoT) with keyless technology to enhance the convenience and security of residential occupants. The designed system utilizes Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) for access authentication, an ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller, a proximity sensor to detect the presence of users or vehicles, and a servo motor to control the automatic movement of the gate. Additionally, an LED indicator is used to provide visual access status information, while a buzzer is added to deliver audio notifications regarding access status. Real-time notifications are also sent through the Telegram application to residents or security personnel as part of additional monitoring. The methods used in this research include hardware design, software development, system integration, and functional testing using the blackbox method. Testing was conducted with scenarios of authentication using both registered and unregistered RFID cards, as well as real-time notification monitoring. The results of the research show that the system successfully opens the gate automatically only for RFID cards registered in the database, enhancing security by minimizing unauthorized access risks. Real-time notifications sent to users provide transparency and ease in monitoring gate activities. Furthermore, the LED indicator and buzzer proved effective in providing visual and audio information on access status. The system also demonstrated efficiency and provided convenience for residents with fast and accurate responses. This research is expected to contribute to creating a safer, more modern, and technology-based residential environment.
