Abstract

Saluran Udara Tegangan Tinggi (SUTT) memiliki peran penting dalam sistem transmisi tenaga listrik, namun sangat rentan terhadap gangguan eksternal, terutama sambaran petir. Salah satu dampak yang sering terjadi adalah back flashover, yaitu loncatan tegangan dari tanah atau menara ke konduktor fasa akibat tegangan lebih yang melebihi kemampuan isolator. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi terjadinya back flashover serta mengevaluasi zona perlindungan pada kawat tanah di jalur SUTT 150 kV Sawahan – Krembangan, khususnya pada menara nomor 8, 9, dan 10. Metode yang digunakan meliputi pengumpulan data spesifikasi tower, isolator, tahanan pentanahan, dan data sambaran petir, serta perhitungan tegangan transien dan zona perlindungan dengan pendekatan trigonometri. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tegangan lebih akibat sambaran petir pada ketiga menara masih berada di bawah nilai Basic Impulse Insulation Level (BIL) isolator, sehingga tidak memicu terjadinya back flashover. Evaluasi zona perlindungan juga memperlihatkan bahwa kawat tanah mampu mencakup area konduktor dengan sudut perlindungan yang masih sesuai standar. Dengan demikian, sistem proteksi petir pada jalur ini tergolong efektif. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi teknis bagi PT PLN (Persero) dalam menjaga keandalan sistem transmisi serta menjadi referensi bagi pengembangan keilmuan di bidang teknik elektro.
