Abstract

Teachers are required to fulfill various professional roles in both their work and personal lives, which, if not managed properly, can affect their level of job satisfaction. This study aims to examine the relationship between work life balance and job satisfaction among teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Ngronggot, Nganjuk Regency. The research employed a quantitative correlational approach with total sampling, involving 47 teachers as participants. The instruments used were the work-life balance scale based on Fisher et al. (2009) and the job satisfaction scale based on Lester (1987), both of which were tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis using Pearson correlation revealed a positive and significant relationship between work-life balance and job satisfaction (r = 0.407; p = 0.005). This indicates that the better the teachers' work-life balance, the higher their job satisfaction. These findings highlight that work-life balance is a crucial factor in improving teacher well-being and work quality in the school environment.
