Abstract

The gestation period is a typical period with changes that require adjustment. Partosuwido (1992) manifests adaptations can be seen from such forms as the ability to reduce pressure and frustration, the ability to develop appropriate psychological mechanisms, and the development of beneficial behaviors to meet the challenges they face. coping's approach to coping focuses on the problem of believing can change resources in itself or change the demands of coping situations, instead of the coping strategy focused on emotion by feeling unable to do anything to change the coping situation. The focus on this study is that of the primipara in the polindes area of randutatah, with the characteristic population in the study being the primipara in the polindes village of randutatah who is 18 to 30 years old and has an 0-1 year old child. The sample contained 56 primipara mothers. The study uses quantitative research by means of a double regression test analysis with a SPSS 22.0 imb for Windows. The result of the data analysis suggests that there is a significant connection between emotion coping and fitting in with mother primipara's stress. The conclusion that a primipara mother was able to accept herself, examine events in a positive light, seek a grip on religion, refuse to believe in stress, seeking moral support.
