Abstract
Mempunyai bentuk tubuh yang sempurna merupakan impian bagi semua wanita. Karena dalam pandangan sosial, tubuh yang sempurna atau ideal sering dikaitkan dengan kecantikan. Oleh karena itu banyak wanita yang merasa tidak puas dengan bentuk tubuhnya, sehingga wanita merasa terdorong untuk mencapai dan membentuk tubuhnya agar terlihat sempurna. Ketidakpuasan terhadap bentuk tubuh atau body dissatisfaction ini seringkali menyebabkan terganggunya interaksi sosial dan kesejahterahan psikologis. Hal ini dapat disebabkan oleh adanya penggunan media sosial yang bermasalah atau problematic social media use (PSMU). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wanita dewasa awal yang sudah memiliki anak atau ibu-ibu dengan rentan rentan usia 18-40 tahun dan melibatkan 150 responden dengan menggunakan purposive sampling sebagai teknik pengambilan sampelnya. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode skala Liker, yaitu skala body dissatisfaction yang dirancang sendiri oleh penulis sesuai dengan teori Rosen dan Reiter (1996) dan skala problematic social media use (PSMU) sesuai dengan teori Griffiths (2005). Teknik analisis dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis korelasi pearson produc moment antara problematic social media use (PSMU) dengan body dissatisfaction. Pada nilai Sig. (2-telled) = 0,000 < 0,05 dan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,4 yang artinya terdapat korelasi yang positif antara problematic social media use (PSMU) dengan body dissatisfaction. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa problematic social media use (PSMU) mempunyai pengaruh terhadap munculnya body dissatisfaction pada wanita dewasa awal yang sudah memiliki anak di Surabaya.
