Abstract

This research describes the adaptation of the program production process into Reels content on Instagram. This study aims to understand the factors that influence the success of content adaptation and the social, cultural, and technological implications of this transition. Using a qualitative approach, this study analyzes the process adaptation through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results show significant changes in narrative, visual elements, and distribution adaptation to the characteristics of the digital platform. This process adaptation reflects the changing media landscape and the need for media to adapt to evolving audience preferences. This study highlights the challenges in maintaining the program's local identity while adapting to the demands of short video content. This study contributes to the understanding of media process adaptation in Indonesia and provides practical guidance for media practitioners in navigating the digital era.
