Abstract

Rama Mulia Express is a business entity providing logistics or goods delivery services. The process of delivering goods uses a single delivery fleet, namely the Gran Max 1.3 STD pickup. RME Surabaya often rents vehicles for the delivery process because using a single fleet cannot complete the delivery within one working day. Due to this delivery issue, RME Surabaya plans to add one more delivery fleet. The objective of the research is to provide an economic consideration of the investment in adding new or used fleets using the straight-line depreciation method, Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP), Break-even Point (BEP), and sensitivity analysis. Next, the researcher will analyze its impact on the delivery process using the Sweep algorithm. The research results show that the investment in a new fleet amounts to Rp190,000,000, with an estimated economic life of 8 years and a depreciation result of Rp14,012,500, an NPV value of Rp17,194,082,251, a Payback Period of 1 month and 10 days, and an IRR value of 15.29%.
