Abstract

The high unemployment rate is one of the serious problems currently faced by Indonesia. In the midst of this situation, there is a strong view among society that becoming a Civil Servant and private employee is the safest and most secure career choice because it offers stability, a steady salary and retirement security, which the private sector or entrepreneurship often lacks. This paradigm influences the career preferences of the younger generation, who are more likely to choose the safe route as civil servants and employees rather than taking the risk of becoming an entrepreneur. As a result, the inability of the job market to absorb the available workforce will increase the number of unemployed, which in turn triggers various social and economic impacts. From these problems, entrepreneurship is an effective solution in facing employment challenges. By entrepreneurship, individuals not only create jobs for themselves, but also have the potential to open up job opportunities for others. Therefore, researchers are interested in examining the influence of Positive Impact Use of Social Media, Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Availability of Capital on the entrepreneurial interest of UNTAG Surabaya Business Administration students. This research was conducted during April-May 2024 using quantitative methods where data was collected using questionnaires distributed to Adbis students who had taken entrepreneurship courses. The 100 respondents were then tested to produce the conclusion that the variables Positive Impact Use of Social Media, Entrepreneurial Knowledge and Availability of Capital had a significant positive effect on the interest in entrepreneurship of UNTAG Surabaya Business Administration students.
