Abstract

The research presented uses a qualitative, descriptive approach centered on the city of Surabaya and aims to determine the internal and external factors that influence the development of De Javashe Bank's cultural heritage and determine the strategies used by De Javashe Bank as a historical tourist destination in the city of Surabaya. The results of the research show that the internal environmental factors that are the strongest and most influential on De Javashe Bank's cultural heritage are its strength, namely the wealth owned by De Javashe Bank which is classified as a step and working together with the community to develop historical tourism of De Javashe Bank, while from The weakness is promotion and inconsistency in creating promotional content on social media which is less active in its creation. From external factors alone, the opportunities that influence this museum are its very strategic location in the middle of the city center and also the facilities and infrastructure are supported by Bank Indonesia because it is under the auspices of Bank Indonesia in terms of budget and transportation, and meanwhile the threat itself is the one that influences it. The competitiveness of historical tourism museums is very rapid and many Gen Z themselves have forgotten the history of banking and are more interested in historical hero tourism to maximize existing promotions such as on social media. To implement the De Javashe Bank historical tour to improve the quality of this museum, intensify promotional activities and hold exhibitions, add cooperative merchandise that can be purchased by visitors and provide empowerment to provide superior human resources in the field of tourism management.
