Abstract

PT Garam (Persero) is one of the state-owned enterprises, this state-owned company engaged in the salt sector continues to race to improve the quality of salt to the international arena. PT Garam has several units of the raw material production division and the packaged salt industry. This study aims to design tools with an anthropometric approach and analyze the physical workload experienced by workers in the Pegaraman 1 Sumenep area of PT Garam (Persero). With a production of 115,000 tons per season, Pegaraman 1 Sumenep Area faces enormous challenges in achieving production targets with the use of efficient tools for workers. This is the problem that causes fatigue, based on the identification of the research conducted. To overcome these problems, the research will focus on the design of tools with an anthropometric approach. The results showed that workers experienced physical workloads that required action, with the results of NBM recapitulation with a risk level value of 50-70, REBA score with a value of 4, and CVL percentage value of 52% for the first worker, 42% for the second worker, and 38% for the third worker, with a productivity level of 14% After designing the tool, the results showed that workers experienced physical workloads that needed to be taken action, with the results of NBM recapitulation with a risk level value of 28-49, a REBA score with a value of 1, and a CVL percentage value of 18% for the first worker, 15% for the second worker, and 11% for the third worker, with a productivity level of 38% With these results, it can be said that the design of the tool is effective to overcome the problems that exist in the company.
