Abstract

Academic procrastination is an intentional behavior of delay in starting or completing tasks despite its negative impact. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-regulation in learning and social support toward academic procrastination among university students This research is a quantitative study using a correlational method The subjects of this research were all active students of the University of August 17, 1945 Surabaya, numbering 12,361 students The sampling technique in this study used quota sampling with a sample size of 263 Three psychological scales were used in this study, namely the Tuckman Procrastination Scale (TPS), the self- regulation in learning scale, and The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) The results of the multiple regression analysis indicated that there is a significant simultaneous relationship between self- regulation in learning and social support toward academic procrastination (F = 157.481 with a significance of 0.000<0.05), which means there is a significant relationship between self-regulation in learning and social support with academic procrastination among students. Partial test results between self- regulation in learning and academic procrastination showed a significant negative relationship, partial test results between social support and academic procrastination also showed a significant negative relationship
