Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penjelasan tentang proses Komunikasi Interpersonal Orang Tua kepada Anak dalam mencegah terjadinya kecanduan Gadget di Kedinding Tengah Baru. Dalam penelitian ini teori yang digunakan adalah teori Interaksionisme simbolik menurut George Herbert Mead. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang berguna untuk memperoleh data yang dilakukan dalam pengumpulan data yang valid dan wawancara dengan para orang tua di Kedinding Tengah Baru. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi. Objek dari penelitian ini yaitu daerah Kedinding Tengah Baru. Hasil penelitian ini proses komunikasi interpersonal Orang Tua kepada Anak dalam mencegah terjadinya kecanduan gadget di kedidinding Tengah Baru, Orang Tua bersifat persuasif. Dimana Orang Tua membujuk, memberi nasehat, mengedukasi dan mendisiplinkan anak untuk melakukan sesuatu dengan menggunakan perkataan yang mudah dipahami oleh anak. Respon yang diberikan anak ketika orang tua melarang bermain gadget rata-rata tersulut emosinya hingga cenderung murung. Hasil penelitian ini, peneliti menyarankan Orang tua juga lebih bersabar dalam menghadapi anaknya dengan cara menggunakan komunikasi yang seefektif mungkin agar tercipta hubungan yang harmonis. Karena komunikasi interpersonal orang tua kepada anak memiliki peran penting terhadap proses perkembangan anak.
