Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the quality of information conveyed through the WhatsApp Channel on the information needs of UNTAG Surabaya communication science students. The quality of the information in question includes aspects of completeness, comprehensibility, accuracy and relevance. The research method used is quantitative with data collection through questionnaires. The data obtained were analyzed using the simple linear regression method to see the relationship and influence between the variables of information quality and information needs. The results showed that the quality of information delivered through the WhatsApp Channel has a significant influence on the information needs of UNTAG Surabaya communication science students. This study concludes that improving the quality of information delivered through the WhatsApp Channel can increase the fulfillment of the information needs of UNTAG Surabaya communication science students.
