Abstract

UD KS PRO a company engaged in manufacturing that produces motorcycle spare parts. The foot step is the footrest on the motor. Requests for UD are not only from ordinary stores but also directly from Astra Company because UD is a subsidiary of the company, but UD KS PRO is still often experiencing delays in order completion, seeing from these events competing companies can use this weakness to take their customers . This study raises these problems to seek solutions so that delays do not often occur, these problems can use the Work Load Analysis (WLA) method, and the Line Balancing Ranged Positional Weight (RPW) method for completion. The output results in actual conditions have not been able to meet the number of requests, so a WLA calculation is carried out for optimal workforce additions, and is simulated using arena software, then proceed with line balancing calculations. The results of the calculation of the WLA addition of 2 people for the welding and coating process were obtained. And the results of these conditions have not met the demand and are far from efficient, And for Line Balancing the proposed condition produces a line efficiency of 88.53%, balance delay 11.47%, smoothness index 12.87, has been efficient and fulfilled the demand with an output of 26571pcs with a request of 25000pcs.
