Abstract

Indonesia is a country that will be rich in the diversity of traditional arts, the diversity it has is an attraction for national and international tourism. One of them is the compulsive art of Banyuwangi, which is one of the cultural arts that is included in the intangible preservation in UNESCO. However, from the diversity it has, the lack of facilities that accommodate threatens the preservation of the existence of traditional arts and another problem, namely the lack of interest of young people in local culture tends to be due to the impact of the development of globalization. From this problem, the importance of the container is stated in Regional Regulation No.14 of 2017 concerning the Preservation of Cultural Heritage and Customs in Banyuwangi. To realize the preservation of traditional arts, it is realized by designing so that it can bridge the art to remain sustainable and not extinct. The design aspect used by the method is to use Neo-vernacural, a form of harmonizing the customs of the local community, the culture they have, and the physical elements of the local culture. In order to improve the preservation of traditional arts, there are several arts cultural parks whose implementation is in the form of physical, non-physical fulfillment and social needs. Through the fulfillment of the needs provided by the Gandrung Art Cultural Park, this can help improve the preservation of traditional arts.
