Abstract
This study aims to determine the relationship between the meaning of work and work stress for members of Police the Surabaya during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used is a quantitative method. The subjects in this study were 125 members of Surabaya Police. Sampling in this study was done by purposive sampling technique. Data analysis using Spearman's rho. The results of data analysis showed that the meaning of work with work stress had a significant relationship with a significance value of rxy = -0.374 with a significance (P) = 0.000 (P < 0.01). So it can be concluded that there is a negative relationship between the meaning of work and job stress on police officers in Surabaya. This means that the higher the meaning of work, the lower the work stress. Thus, the hypothesis proposed by the researcher has a significant relationship. The meaning of work gives an affective contribution of 12.6% to 87.4% of work stress which is influenced by other variables, both external and internal factors.
