Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between social support and the meaningfull work with work Stres on members of the police in East Java. The hypothesis in this study are 1) There is a negative and significant relationship between social support and work Stres, 2) There is a negative and significant relationship between the meaningfull work and work Stres, 3) There is a negative and significant relationship between social support and meaningfull work with work Stres. The subjects in this study were 123 participants. The data collection method used a work Stres scale, a meaningfull work scale and a social support scale compiled by researchers using the Likert model. Data retrieval is done via google form. Hypothesis testing uses multiple linear regression analysis and testing of the first hypothesis shows the results of a significant relationship between job Stres and social support. The second hypothesis testing shows that there is a significant relationship between the meaningfull work and job Stres. The third hypothesis testing shows that there is a significant relationship between the meaningfull work and social support with work Stres on members of the police. The effective contribution of the variable meaning of work and social support to work Stres is indicated by the R2 value of 17.9%. The implication of the research is expected to help the police by developing programs to increase the role of family support and increase the meaning of work to reduce work Stres.
