Abstract

The quality of the construction works is closely related to the level of qualification of the contractors, namely financial capabilities, manpower construction / engineering personnel and experience of the companies. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between small and medium contractors qualification City of Palangkaraya to quality work construction projects they have implemented. The method used is descriptive research, by conducting research contractors qualifications as well as the qualifying relationship to the quality of the construction project work. The main data required is the contractors qualification data, the data quality and data assessment work on the project work. Compilation of data in this study using census method from 30 contractors who get a construction project at the Public Works Department of the city of Palangkaraya. Data analysis was performed using Descriptive Statistics and Correlation Analysis. Based on the analysis of research findings that the correlation between qualifying with the quality of work the contractors as well as factors related to the quality of work on the implementation of the project Public Works Department of the city of Palangkaraya, it can be concluded that the main factors related to the quality of contracting work are those of the human factor and the capital contractors who are major contributions to all variants (Eigen values of 7.708 and the value of diversity a total of 57.138%). Qualification contractors correlation with the quality of work is describe as follows: Variable experience the kind of work done by contractors qualifications K1 the correlation of 0.543, contractors qualifications K2 the correlation of 0.479, contractors qualifications K3 the correlation of 0.219, the variable chief executive officer value of correlation of 0.585, Contractors K2 the correlation of 0.589, Contractors K3 the correlation of 0,242, variable labor experience the correlation of 0.514, Contractors K2 and K3 (X17) the correlation of 0.434 and 0.263 for a significant effect on the quality of work. Variable experience the kind of work done by a contractor qualified M1 correlation value of 0.834, variable worker experience the correlation of 0.546 significantly related to quality of work. While the level of the relationship is positive.
