Abstract

Indonesia merupakan negara dengan kekayaan seni dan budaya yang sangat beragam sebagai hasil dari keberagaman suku bangsa. Salah satu kekayaan budaya tersebut terdapat pada Suku Arfak yang bermukim di Kabupaten Manokwari, Papua Barat. Suku Arfak memiliki karakter budaya yang khas, baik dari aspek bahasa, sistem sosial, teknologi tradisional, hingga arsitektur vernakularnya yang tercermin pada bentuk Rumah Kaki Seribu. Namun, kondisi saat ini menunjukkan bahwa pelestarian dan pengembangan seni serta budaya Suku Arfak masih belum mendapatkan perhatian yang optimal, ditandai dengan keterbatasan fasilitas, infrastruktur, serta minimnya wadah edukasi dan ekspresi budaya. Permasalahan tersebut diperkuat oleh data Indeks Pembangunan Kebudayaan (IPK) Papua Barat yang menunjukkan rendahnya capaian pada dimensi ekonomi budaya, warisan budaya, dan ekspresi budaya. Kondisi ini berdampak pada kurangnya ruang bagi masyarakat lokal dan generasi muda untuk mengenal, mempelajari, serta mengembangkan seni dan budaya Suku Arfak secara berkelanjutan. Perancangan Fasilitas Seni dan Budaya Suku Arfak di Kabupaten Manokwari ini bertujuan untuk mewadahi aktivitas pelestarian, pengembangan, edukasi, dan pementasan seni budaya. Dengan Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah arsitektur vernakular dengan menerapkan prinsip-prinsip Rumah Kaki Seribu sebagai konsep dasar perancangan. Prinsip tersebut diinterpretasikan ke dalam bentuk, struktur, tata ruang, dan hubungan bangunan dengan lingkungan serta aktivitas sosial masyarakat. Hasil perancangan diharapkan mampu menghasilkan fasilitas seni dan budaya yang berfungsi sebagai pusat aktivitas budaya, penguatan identitas Suku Arfak, serta sebagai daya tarik wisata budaya yang mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan di Kabupaten Manokwari.
