Abstract

Pembangunan infrastruktur jalan tol di Indonesia terus mengalami pertumbuhan yang pesat guna untuk meningkatkan konektivitas antardaerah, salah satunya pada ruas Jalan Tol Probolinggo-Banyuwangi. Berbagai regulasi tentang keamanan dan keselamatan dalam berkendara serta ketentuan jalan tol harus di sediakan fasilitas peristirahatan dan pelayanan yang telah di atur, baik dalam bentuk Undang-Undang maupun Peraturan Menteri. Rest Area tipe A Sta 33+650 di jalan Tol Probolinggo-Banyuwangi di rancang untuk menunjang infrastruktur jalan tol yang berperan besar dalam memperlancar konektivitas antar wilayah dan menjadi tempat istirahat sementara bagi pengemudi yang melintas di ruas jalan tol tersebut. Kehadiran rest area juga didorong untuk dapat memberikan manfaat ekonomi yang nyata bagi perekonomian masyarakat lokal, hal ini menjadi solusi bagi pelaku UMKM di jalan nasional yang terdampak oleh adanya pembangunan jalan tol, dengan cara memberikan ruang usaha yang strategis di dalam Rest Area tersebut. Desain Rest Area ini perlu mempertimbangkan aspek keselamatan, kenyamanan pengguna jalan, sekaligus bisa memfasilitasi para pelaku UMKM. Desainnya akan mengusung pendekatan Arsitektur Tradisional, yaitu dengan gaya arsitektur yang mencerminkan karakter khas Situbondo, baik dari bentuk bangunan maupun elemen-elemen pendukungnya.
