Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis beban kerja dan menentukan jumlah tenaga kerja optimal pada lini produksi mesin pond di UD. Karya Citra, perusahaan manufaktur yang bergerak dalam bidang pengemasan (packaging) paper box. Permasalahan yang dihadapi adalah ketidakseimbangan distribusi beban kerja antarpekerja serta belum adanya standar waktu baku yang menyebabkan keterlambatan produksi dan penurunan produktivitas. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Workload Analysis (WLA) dengan pendekatan pengukuran waktu kerja menggunakan stopwatch time study. Data dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan langsung selama Juli - November 2025 terhadap 7 tenaga kerja pada lini produksi mesin pond dengan 24 kali pengamatan pada setiap stasiun kerja. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ketidakseimbangan beban kerja yang signifikan, dimana stasiun pembuatan papan pisau mengalami overload dengan beban kerja 446% (WLA 4,456%), sementara proses pond Ivory 310, Duplex 350, dan Duplex 310 masing - masing memiliki beban kerja 185%, 191%, dan 192%. Sebaliknya, stasiun pemotongan kertas plano, pembersihan QC, dan pengemasan mengalami underload dengan beban kerja di bawah 75%. Waktu baku untuk proses pond berkisar antara 7,79-8,01 menit. Penelitian merekomendasikan penambahan 3 tenaga kerja (dari 7 menjadi 10 orang) dengan redistribusi optimal yang dapat menurunkan beban kerja menjadi rentang 46 111%. Implementasi rekomendasi ini dapat menghemat biaya operasional sebesar Rp 10.368.000 per bulan (27%) sambil meningkatkan produktivitas dan mencapai target produksi 2.000 unit per hari secara konsisten.
