Abstract

Technological advancements have introduced innovative solutions across various aspects of life, including complex decision-making processes such as selecting a home. Choosing a home often presents a challenge due to the multitude of factors involved; this study considers ten specific criteria: price, land area, building area, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, distance to the city center, number of residential amenities, building condition, building age, and monthly income. The complexity is compounded by the fact that available information is often unstructured and fails to support accurate decision-making. This study proposes a Decision Support System (DSS) based on the Fuzzy Tahani method to assist prospective buyers in selecting the best home according to their preferences. The Fuzzy Tahani method was selected for its efficiency in handling uncertain and complex data through the concept of fuzzy membership. This approach enables the transformation of numerical data into more easily understood linguistic values, thereby enhancing the accuracy and relevance of recommendations. The study aims to design and develop a system capable of recommending homes based on user preferences. The system is expected not only to accelerate the decision-making process but also to improve decision efficiency and quality. Testing was conducted to ensure the system could provide accurate and rapid recommendations. It is hoped that this Fuzzy Tahani-based DSS will make a tangible contribution by simplifying the decision-making process for prospective homebuyers. With its ability to handle complex data and generate relevant recommendations, the system offers a modern, efficient solution to the challenges associated with home selection.
