Abstract
Kabupaten Lamongan merupakan salah satu wilayah di Indonesia yang memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor perikanan, baik dari sisi perikanan tangkap maupun budidaya. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, peningkatan produksi hasil perikanan di daerah ini menunjukkan tren yang positif dan signifikan. Namun, tingginya produksi tersebut belum diimbangi dengan kapasitas pasar yang memadai. Penyerapan ikan di pasar lokal masih tergolong rendah, yang disebabkan oleh terbatasnya jumlah pasar ikan serta kondisi pasar yang belum berkembang secara optimal. Infrastruktur pasar yang ada cenderung stagnan dan tidak mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan dinamika pertumbuhan sektor perikanan yang terus bergerak maju. Pemerintah Kabupaten Lamongan merencanakan pembangunan pasar ikan modern yang lebih representatif, higienis, dan fungsional. Perancangan pasar ini tidak hanya bertujuan sebagai sarana jual beli hasil laut, tetapi juga sebagai upaya untuk mendukung efisiensi energi, kenyamanan termal, serta keberlanjutan lingkungan. Dalam proses perancangannya, pendekatan Arsitektur Bioklimatik dipilih sebagai strategi utama, guna menciptakan bangunan yang selaras dengan kondisi iklim lokal dan mampu meminimalkan penggunaan energi buatan. Pendekatan ini juga bertujuan untuk menghilangkan citra negatif pasar ikan yang selama ini identik dengan kesan kumuh, bau, dan tidak bersih. Dengan demikian, pasar ikan modern ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pusatkegiatan ekonomi yang ramah lingkungan sekaligus memberikan pengalaman berbelanja yang nyaman dan sehat bagi masyarakat.
