Abstract

Perancangan Pusat Pelatihan dan Pembinaan Bola Basket di Kabupaten Teluk Wondama bertujuan untuk menyediakan fasilitas olahraga yang representatif dan profesional dalam rangka mendukung perkembangan potensi atlet muda di daerah tersebut. Permasalahan utama dalam perancangan ini adalah bagaimana menghadirkan bangunan olahraga modern yang tidak hanya fungsional, namun juga mencerminkan identitas lokal Kabupaten Teluk Wondama, baik dari segi budaya, arsitektur, maupun lingkungan alam. Pendekatan Local Identity digunakan sebagai landasan desain untuk menggali karakteristik budaya lokal, nilai-nilai kearifan tradisional, serta elemen arsitektur vernacular yang khas Papua Barat. Metode perancangan melibatkan studi lapangan, analisis konteks tapak, studi literatur, serta pendekatan tipologi fungsi bangunan olahraga. Elemen-elemen lokal seperti bentuk atap, motif ukiran tradisional, penggunaan material alami, dan pola ruang sosial masyarakat Wondama menjadi inspirasi dalam konsep desain. Hasil perancangan menghasilkan suatu kompleks pusat pelatihan yang terdiri dari bangunan utama lapangan indoor, ruang pembinaan, asrama atlet, ruang serbaguna, serta area terbuka publik yang menyatu dengan lanskap sekitar. Desain ini diharapkan dapat menjadi ikon baru daerah sekaligus pusat pengembangan prestasi olahraga bola basket yang berakar pada identitas lokal.
