Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji seksisme yang terjadi di industri food and beverage dengan fokus pada coffee shop Kopimana27 Tebet. Penelitian ini Menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi, dengan menggabungkan sumber data primer dan sekunder. Data diperoleh melalui teknik pengumpulan seperti wawancara dan observasi. Data yang dikumpulkan akan dianalisis melalui tahap pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, mengambil kesimpulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara mendalam pola diskriminasi berbasis gender yang mempengaruhi dinamika kerja, baik dalam proses perekrutan, pembagian tugas, hingga interaksi dengan konsumen. Standpoint theory menjadi landasan utama dalam memahami pengalaman perempuan yang bekerja sebagai barista di tengah struktur sosial patriarki. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya standar kecantikan yang dijadikan kriteria utama dalam perekrutan barista perempuan sebagai daya tarik bisnis, serta kebijakan yang membatasi kebebasan mereka, seperti larangan bekerja pada shift malam. Penelitian ini juga menemukan bahwa perempuan sering menghadapi stereotip negatif dan perilaku seksis dari konsumen, yang berdampak pada kesejahteraan emosional dan profesional mereka. Temuan ini mengungkapkan bahwa seksisme di tempat kerja tidak hanya merugikan individu, tetapi juga mencerminkan struktur ketidakadilan yang melekat dalam budaya kerja industri tersebut. Studi ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar bagi pengembangan kebijakan yang lebih inklusif dan adil, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang mendukung keberagaman dan kesetaraan gender.
