Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh Dinas Kominfo Kota Baubau dalam gerakan masyarakat anti hoax. Di era digital saat ini, penyebaran informasi yang salah atau hoax menjadi tantangan besar bagi masyarakat. Untuk itu, penting adanya strategi komunikasi yang efektif dalam menghadapi permasalahan ini. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dengan key informan, yakni pejabat Dinas Kominfo, serta masyarakat sebagai informan. Wawancara dilakukan untuk menggali informasi mengenai strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan, pelaksanaan program edukasi, serta dampaknya terhadap kesadaran masyarakat tentang hoaks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dinas Kominfo Kota Baubau mengedukasi masyarakat terutama melalui media sosial, menggunakan platform digital sebagai sarana untuk menyebarluaskan informasi yang akurat dan memerangi berita hoaks. Masyarakat yang terlibat dalam penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan kesadaran akan pentingnya memeriksa kebenaran informasi yang mereka terima. Namun, meskipun strategi komunikasi digital ini efektif, masih ada kebutuhan untuk penguatan dalam bentuk sosialisasi tatap muka yang dapat memperkuat ikatan antara Dinas Kominfo dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam pengembangan strategi komunikasi anti hoax serta meningkatkan literasi media masyarakat.
