Abstract

The development of the "Food and Beverages" business sector is getting higher and faster, marked by the establishment of many cafe that are tightening competition in the business world. Of the many cafe that have been established, there are Café Ruang Kopi and Café De'Ale in Sidoarjo which are still standing and competing even though they have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. This study aims to analyze the differences in price, service quality, and customer loyalty between Café Ruang Kopi and Café De'Ale in Sidoarjo. The growing café highlights the important of pricing, service quality, and customer loyalty as a key elements in maintaining competitiveness. This quantitative descriptive research collected data through a Likert scale-based questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents, each respondent was selected by purposive sampling with the criteria for respondents who had visited Café Ruang Kopi and Café De'Ale twice or more than twice. Data analysis was conducted using Paired Sample T-Test with SPSS. The results show significant differences in pricing and service quality variables between the two cafes. Café Ruang Kopi excelled in offering more competitive prices ranging from IDR 8,000 to IDR 25,000, while Café De’Ale demonstrated superior service quality through responsiveness and supporting facilities. Regarding customer loyalty, Café Ruang Kopi outperformed Café De’Ale due to its "Loyalty Card" program, which offers discount and benefits to customer, a feature that Café De’Ale lacks. This study emphasizes the importance of competitive pricing strategies, excellent service quality, and loyalty programs in enhacing competitiveness. Recommendations include improving customer value communication, leveraging digital technologies, and developing loyalty programs to attract new customers and retain exsisting ones.
