Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to use SWOT analysis to evaluate Jun Bonsai's (a bonsai ornamental plant firm in Surabaya City's Sukolilo District) business growth strategy. In order to enhance the company's performance and competitiveness, this study sought to identify the internal and external elements that impact business growth and to establish suitable strategies for doing so. To map the company model, we utilise the company Model Canvas (BMC). To establish the Break Even Point (BEP), we employ economic analysis, SWOT, IFAS, and EFAS matrices. Jun Bonsai is in quadrant I, indicating a good competitive position, and the findings revealed that its strengths outweigh its limitations. A possible approach to growth is the S-O strategy, which focusses on capitalising on both internal strengths and external opportunities. Based on the data, Jun Bonsai is a business with a lot of room to expand, but it also needs to deal with a lot of problems, such stiff competition and a lack of bonsai care instruction for customers. In order to further the science of entrepreneurship and serve as a reference for future studies, this study suggests that Jun Bonsai keep innovating their products and marketing tactics.
