Abstract
This research aims to reveal the application of green accounting in an effort to prevent environmental pollution to achieve sustainability goals at PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara – Pabrik Gula Djombang Baru. By using a qualitative design with a case study approach, this research collects data through in-depth interviews with the surrounding community and those who handle environmental social responsibility for the object of research. The criteria used in this study were designed to be in line with the factory's operational activities that support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3 and 6. The focus is on target 3.9, which aims to reduce the negative impact of pollution on human health to create a healthy and prosperous life, and target 6.3, which aims to improve water quality through pollution reduction and safe wastewater management. The research found that the implementation of green accounting in the research object still contains several weaknesses in community education and empowerment as well as effective wastewater management and treatment. It is hoped that the findings of weaknesses by researchers can be an improvement in the application of green accounting in the future for PT Sinergi Gula Nusantara - Pabrik Gula Djombang Baru. Implications This research can contribute by optimizing the application of green accounting and reducing the weaknesses in the process of environmental social responsibility for the better.
