Abstract

The development of technology is increasingly felt by some people very quickly. This is evident from the existence of a job that cannot be separated from technology. Such as doing assignments, looking for information, and so on. With the sophistication of technology, it is possible for irresponsible people to spread fake news or hoaxes. With the many fake news or hoaxes, an anti-hoax community or now known as Mafindo Surabaya has emerged. Mafindo Surabaya in socializing the dangers of hoaxes certainly has strategies that will be used, especially communication strategies. A communication strategy is needed so that what will be done in socializing the dangers of hoaxes can be achieved to the maximum. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method. The data collection used is by interview, observation, and documentation methods. The data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. In this study, communication strategy is used, and also communication. The results of this research show that Mafindo Surabaya is able to utilize its communication strategy in establishing relationships with the community in socializing and eradicating the danger of hoaxes.
