Abstract

Budidaya ikan lele (Clarias sp.) merupakan sektor perikanan potensial di Indonesia dengan nilai ekonomi tinggi dan permintaan pasar yang terus meningkat. Namun, proses budidaya menghadapi tantangan seperti kematian ikan yang sering disebabkan oleh ketidakmerataan ukuran ikan akibat distribusi pakan yang tidak merata. Masalah ini juga dialami oleh UD. Kurnia Tani, sebuah UMKM di Magetan, yang masih menggunakan sistem pemberian pakan manual. Sistem ini memicu persaingan antar ikan, sehingga menyebabkan kerugian ekonomi dan menurunkan tingkat kelangsungan hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang alat pelontar pakan otomatis untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pemberian pakan dan produktivitas budidaya ikan lele. Hasil perancangan menunjukkan bahwa alat ini mampu mengurangi jumlah tenaga kerja dari dua menjadi satu orang, serta memangkas waktu pemberian pakan dari delapan menit menjadi empat menit per kolam. Selain itu, alat ini meningkatkan produktivitas kerja hingga 50% dan menurunkan harga pokok produksi dari Rp 15.
