Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between gratitude and self-acceptance in adolescent social media users in the Banyu Urip Kidul area of Surabaya. The method used in this study is quantitative research. The population in this study is adolescent social media users aged 14 to 20 years and domiciled in Banyu Urip Kidul Surabaya. Participants in this study amounted to 115 adolescents who were determined using the GPower application. The data collection instrument uses Likert scale, namely gratitude scale and self-acceptance scale. The data analysis used in this study was using the Perason Product Moment correlation technique. The results of the correlation analysis between gratitude and self�acceptance are magnificent correlation coefficient values (r) = 0.032 with p = 0.734 > 0.05. The results showed that there was no significant relationship between self�acceptance and gratitude in adolescent social media users. It can be concluded that the hypothesis proposed in this study was rejected.
