Abstract
This study aims to determine the influence and extent of the influence of YouTube access on the mathematics learning methods of students at SMAN 20 Surabaya. The research method used is quantitative with a survey technique, based on Lasswell's communication model and behaviorist theory. The data obtained shows that exposure to the YouTube channel Jerome Poline "mathematics learning methods" reached 24%. These findings indicate a significant influence of accessing the channel on the mathematics performance of students at SMAN 20 Surabaya. The increase in understanding and learning outcomes in mathematics after accessing content from this channel demonstrates that YouTube can be an effective learning tool. The conclusion of this study is that access to the YouTube channel Jerome Poline "mathematics learning methods" significantly affects the learning methods and performance of students in mathematics. These findings suggest that social media, particularly YouTube, has a considerable impact on students' learning methods, especially at SMAN 20 Surabaya. Therefore, appropriate use of social media can serve as an effective means of supporting and enhancing the quality of student learning. This underscores the importance of integrating social media as part of modern learning strategies to improve educational effectiveness.
