Abstract

Traffic violations have become one of the legal violations that must be obeyed by Indonesian people who are driving. The existence of these traffic regulations is intended to regulate the roads and prevent the danger of accidents occurring in the community. In this case, the Polrestabes Agency, in addition to making existing regulations, also implements several programs in its implementation, such as going to the field to directly see the condition of the drivers. If there are drivers who violate them, they will be subject to sanctions. As time and technology have developed, the Polrestabes in carrying out this program uses digital media, this is what is called E-Tilang. In this research, researchers are interested in seeing how effective the E-ticket program is in suppressing traffic violations in the city of Surabaya - East Java by using a qualitative approach and research methods using interview techniques. In this research, the researcher uses Gibson's theory. The results of this research are that the E-ticketing program has been implemented in accordance with the application of the E-ticketing mechanism and can be said to be effective, but in its implementation it is still less effective. So with this program, researchers can conclude that there has been a decrease in the police previously only monitoring, but now they have to go to the field and the possibility of extortion will occur.
