Abstract

This research aims to interpret the message of moral concern for others in the film "Sri Asih" through Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis. The type of research used is interpretive with a qualitative approach using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis method. The research subject used was the film "Sri Asih" while the object of this research was the moral message of caring for others. The data collection method is carried out by documentation and observation. The film "Sri Asih" tells the story of a woman who turns out to be the incarnation of the Goddess Asih, known as Sri Asih. Sri Asih has the goal of saving 1000 residents who will be sacrificed by the devil commander. The results of this research show the moral message that women have a high concern for saving friends, family and each other. However, on the one hand, the results of this moral message can actually be negative because women are burdened with a double burden. The myth in the film "Sri Asih" is that women do not have to handle all problems, women have the right to determine their priorities. In fact, women are the same as men in that women don't have to bear everything themselves. Women and men should have the same obligations in solving all problems in society even though they have different roles.
