Abstract

CV Amera Berkah Jaya is a company engaged in the field of swallow nest distributors who provide swallow nest washing services, located in the city of Surabaya. This research aims to explain how CV Amera Berkah Jaya uses interpersonal communication to maintain good relations with swallow suppliers. Interpersonal communication is considered effective to maintain a harmonious relationship between the company and its suppliers. The purpose of this research is to find out how interpersonal communication takes place between CV Amera Berkah Jaya and swallow suppliers. This study focused on the application of interpersonal communication effectiveness which includes openness, empathy, support, positivity, and equality, researchers used Charles Berger and Richard Calabrese's uncertainty reduction theory. In this study, it explains that CV Amera Berkah Jaya consistently applies an attitude of openness in communication with swallow suppliers, ensuring that the information provided is honest and transparent. In addition, the practice of empathy in responding to the needs of swallow suppliers increases trust and cooperation. Supportive and positive attitudes are also evident in daily interactions, creating a collaborative working environment. Uncertainty reduction strategies, whether through active clarification, passive explanation, or interactive dialog, are important in managing uncertainty that may arise in working relationships with suppliers. This research uses exploratory qualitative methods, data sources are obtained using interview techniques, observation, and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions to describe the implications of the research results.
