Abstract

This research is to examine the moral message in the movie "Jalan yang Jauh Jangan Lupa Pulang". This research data analysis uses Roland Barthes Semiotics analysis. The purpose of this research is to interpret the moral message contained in the movie "The Long Way Don't Forget to Go Home". The research method uses an interpretive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of documentation. Based on the data that has been processed by the author, there are ten scenes in the movie "Jalan yang Jauh Jangan Lupa Pulang" that contain moral messages that are relevant in the context of the film. With Roland Barthes semiotics as the basis of analysis, 10 moral messages can be found in the movie "Jalan yang Jauh Jangan Lupa Pulang" as follows: (1) being temperamental is not good for a couple's relationship, (2) having a responsible character, (3) avoiding selfish behavior towards others, including one's own family members, (4) the importance of communication in the family, (5) not solving problems with others using emotions, (6) helping each other is important, (7) the need to know more about the character of family members, (8) the importance of a support system for the family (9) whatever the problem is if it is carried out with friends it will be easily and quickly resolved, (10) the importance of giving freedom to children to foster independence when facing all existing challenges.
