Abstract

Investasi merupakan kegiatan menanamkan modal untuk jangka waktu tertentu hingga mencapai kembalian modal pada investasi awal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pembelian mesin printing percetakan offset layak untuk dilaksakan atau tidak. Perhitungan yang digunakan antara lain seperti : mencari besarnya OEE (Overall Equipment Efectiveness), Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PBP), dan Profitability Index (PI). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa mesin cetak offset di PT. Arjaya memiliki OEE di bawah 85%, menandakan efisiensinya kurang optimal. Ini menyarankan perlunya penggantian mesin dengan yang baru untuk meningkatkan efektivitas produksi. Selain itu, perhitungan depresiasi menunjukkan estimasi biaya penyusutan sebesar Rp 1.080.000.000 per tahun, yang harus dipertimbangkan dalam perencanaan keuangan jangka panjang. Namun, hasil NPV menunjukkan bahwa investasi tersebut layak dilakukan dengan nilai sebesar Rp 227.607.149, yang menegaskan potensi keuntungan finansial yang menguntungkan. Selain itu, perhitungan Payback Period (PBP) menunjukkan bahwa dana yang diinvestasikan dapat kembali dalam waktu 6,49 tahun, lebih pendek dari umur ekonomis mesin 10 tahun menunjukkan pengembalian modal yang sesuai. Analisis IRR juga mendukung keputusan investasi dengan nilai yang melebihi suku bunga awal 11% menjadi 11,02%. Dengan demikian, hasil perhitungan memberikan dasar yang kuat untuk melanjutkan investasi dalam mesin baru untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan efektivitas produksi di perusahaan tersebut.
