Abstract

South Korean culture which is increasingly in demand in Indonesia also brings changes to its people, one of which is unplanned shopping activities at Shopee for items related to their favorite artist. This can be reviewed with the variables Celebrity Worship, Word Of Mouth, Brand Awareness, and Impulsive Buying. This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of Celebrity Worship, Word Of Mouth, and Brand Awareness on Impulsive Buying K-Pop merchandise at Shopee. The number of samples used were 100 respondents using purposive sampling technique. The data collection method was carried out using a questionnaire. The analytical tool used is multiple linear regression analysis with the IBM SPSS Statistics 25. The results of this study indicate that the variables Celebrity Worship and Brand Awareness partially has a positive and significant effect on Impulsive Buying. However, partially the Word Of Mouth variable has no effect on Impulsive Buying. Together Celebrity Worship, Word Of Mouth, and Brand Awareness together have a positive and significant effect on Impulsive Buying. Therefore, it is recommended for parties at Shopee to increase promotion and maintain service quality by advertising merchandise followed by pictures or videos of K-Pop idols to optimize spontaneous purchases.
