Abstract

Indonesia, terletak di garis khatulistiwa, merupakan salah satu negara penghasil kelapa terbesar di dunia dan telah menjadi pengekspor utama produk kelapa, termasuk briket arang kelapa. Pada tahun 2020, ekspor arang kelapa Indonesia meningkat sebesar 4,69% dari USD 145,1 juta pada tahun 2019 menjadi USD 151,9 juta. PT. Sinar Mutiara Miru Lamongan, didirikan pada tahun 2011, telah menjadi produsen dan eksportir briket arang kelapa terkemuka dengan distribusi produk ke berbagai negara seperti Turki, Yordania, dan Amerika Utara. Meskipun demikian, perusahaan menghadapi masalah dengan tingkat kecacatan produk yang tinggi, terutama pada proses mesin cetak, oven, dan pengemasan, yang mempengaruhi produktivitas dan keuntungan perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan inovasi mesin pemotong otomatis guna mengurangi cacat produk dan meningkatkan efisiensi produksi. Dari hasil penelitian dan analisis, ditemukan bahwa desain mesin pemotong briket otomatis dengan panjang rangka 77 cm, tinggi rangka 110 cm, dan lebar mesin 44 cm sesuai dengan kebutuhan operasional. Implementasi alat pemotong otomatis meningkatkan kapasitas produksi dari 95.447 kg menjadi 99.234 kg per bulan, serta menurunkan tingkat kecacatan produk dari 8.553 kg menjadi 4.766 kg. Selain itu, harga pokok produksi menurun dari Rp 3.816/kg menjadi Rp 3.547/kg, menunjukkan efisiensi yang signifikan. Dengan demikian, penggunaan mesin pemotong otomatis tidak hanya meningkatkan kapasitas dan kualitas produksi tetapi juga memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap profitabilitas perusahaan.
