Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between gratitude and self-acceptance in working students at the University of 17 August 1945 Surabaya. The method used in this research is quantitative research. The population in this study were active students of UNTAG Surabaya, working students and had experienced working for 1 year (freelance or permanent). Participants in this study amounted to 125 student workers. The data collection instrument used a Likert scale, namely the gratitude scale and the self-acceptance scale. The data analysis used in this study is using the Spearman Rho correlation technique. The results of the correlation analysis between gratitude and self-acceptance produced a correlation coefficient value (r) = 0.700 with p = 0.000 <0.01. These results indicate that there is a highly significant positive relationship between self-acceptance and gratitude in working students. It can be concluded that the hypothesis proposed in this study is accepted.
