Abstract
The development of digital technology brings various consequences among users, both positive and negative. The increasingly open internet access and the growth of social media users, including YouTube, have resulted in various offerings that can be freely viewed. The urgency of supervising YouTube content in Indonesia is a response to the changing dynamics of digital media. The rapid growth of YouTube users in Indonesia, along with the expansion and diversification of content, poses challenges related to ethics, security, and societal order. Content supervision becomes essential to protect users from harmful and unlawful content from a human rights perspective. There is a need for comprehensive and effective regulations to address the development of YouTube content. The role of supervisory institutions, such as the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI), is identified as key to ensuring platform compliance with moral and legal standards.
