Abstract

Quail seedlings UMKM sidoarjo is one of the business entities engaged in animal husbandry. In addition to providing quail eggs, this UMKM also serves egg hatching for the public. Quail seedlings sidoarjo has several obstacles, among others: limited time, lack of supervision of livestock, and cleanliness of cages that can cause stress in livestock. Based on the problems that occur, it can be done by making cages that can reduce the risks that occur. The cage that will be designed is automatic so that farmers can save time, with the existence of this automatic cage is expected to make the quality of eggs better and can reduce the level of stress in livestock. The manufacture of this cage also uses the cost budget design method so that it can determine the amount of expenditure for each component. In making this cage using the QFD method which this method is one of the tools that can be used to assist companies in the production process by translating consumer desires in the technical characteristics possessed by the company, of course in making cages it is necessary to design costs to find out how much expenditure in making this automatic quail cage. . The characteristic results of this automatic quail cage are a framework height of 80 cm with a framework width of 1025 cm, using a blue color for the cage framework, the framework material uses iron, the assembly process uses hollow iron with a size of 20x20 with welding techniques, a large quail cage frame of 120x50x18 cm, with a width of 120 cm. using a wipwe machine with 12 volt power, the material for the roof uses benner and the material on the dirt cleaner also uses benner. Gear drive rool with size 9 T with an outer diameter of 40 mm and an inner diameter of 11 mm. the cost budget for making this automatic quail cage is RP. 1.200.000 relatively cheap and still affordable.
