Abstract

Video clips are one of the visual art forms that can be used as a medium of representation for musicians to communicate a message or feeling. The representation of stoicism can be applied through video clips to give its own meaning. This research aims to reveal how the representation of stoicism in the video clip "Pilihan Yang Terbaik" by Ziva Magnolya. This research uses Ferdinand De Saussure's semiotic approach and is included in descriptive qualitative research. Researchers used data collection techniques in the form of documentation. The results of this study indicate that the video clip "The Best Choice" contains the principles or teachings of stoicism, namely how to achieve happiness in life. Many methods can be done in achieving happiness, for example by focusing on ourselves, on what can be controlled and what is beyond our control. By practicing the teachings of stoicism, humans can achieve peace of mind and happiness in life.
