Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara manajemen waktu dan motivasi belajar dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa aktivis. Partisipan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 126 responden mahasiswa aktivis Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya. Pengambilan partisipan dilakukan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu skala prokrastinasi akademik sesuai dengan teori Ferrari (1995), skala manajemen waktu sesuai dengan teori Macan (1990) dan skala motivasi belajar sesuai dengan teori Chernis & Goleman (2001). Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis Linier Berganda dengan bantuan SPSS 22 for Windows. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan, secara simultan ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan kedua variabel prediktor yaitu manajemen waktu dan motivasi belajar dengan prokrastinasi akademik (F=17.632; P=0.000). Hubungan kedua variabel prediktor sebesar 22.3% dengan prokrastinasi akademik, 77.7% berhubungan dengan variabel lain. Hasil uji parsial menujukkan ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara manajemen waktu dengan prokrastinasi akademik (ß= -0.446-; t= -3.115; p=0.002). Hasil uji parsial yang kedua juga menunjukkan ada hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara motivasi belajar dengan prokrastinasi akademik (ß = -0.893; t= -5.803; p= 0.000). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara manaejemen waktu dan motivasi belajar dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa aktivis, semakin tinggi manajemen waktu dan motivasi belajar maka semakin rendah tingkat prokrastinasi akademik dan sebaliknya.
